The HyperX Cloud Alpha is a simple pair of over-ear headphones that were released in 2017 and are consistent with Desktop computers and PlayStation consoles. Despite having a substantial metal frame, it is not particularly heavy with 327g weight. HyperX Cloud Alpha was released on 11 April 2022, with 19.5 by 15 by 9.3cm dimensions.
This HyperX Cloud Alpha has memory foam ear pads and headband cushions that are quite comfortable because they are wrapped in plush leather. Its memory foam of the highest quality and velvety leatherette is used in the over-ear design attached with the construction of an aluminum frame for strength and stability. They have a sturdy aluminum with an expandable headband with red stitch trim.
These wireless headphones are cozy. The cushioning on the headband and cups is plush and pleasant to the touch. They don’t hold your head in a firm grip either. However, since they can trap heat, if you wear them for extended gaming marathons, you could notice that your ears start to become warm.
With 50mm drivers, it produces audio that is more accurate and smooth by separating the bass frequencies from the mids and highs. There’s a volume dial, a power button which is located on the left ear cup, and a mic mute button.
According to HyperX, the battery life on these headphones is 300 hours. That means you can use these headphones continuously for slightly over 12 days without needing to charge them. HyperX Cloud Alpha gains up to 30 hours of wifi freedom without giving up crucial audio.
The detachable braided wire has audio controls that make it simple to change the volume and muffle the microphone. There is also a mic mute button, which is distinguishable from the power button since it is slightly elevated. When muted, the LED light on the microphone turns red, and you’ll hear a buzzer while muting and unmuting. If the button is held for a few seconds, the monitoring microphone can be turned on and off hold this button for a few seconds, which enhances effective communication. On the right ear cup, there’s an infinite volume wheel with diverse buzzers to indicate that a minimum and maximum volume have been reached. In the companion software, the voice can be turned on and off.
The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless has excellent mid-accuracy which is dip in the high-mid weakens vocals and lead instruments a bit. It is still a solid choice as it is more comfortable, has lower wireless latency, and its continuous battery life is significantly longer.
