It is much cheaper than Apple and Samsung counterparts, but you need to understand that you will not get the convenience and quality of AirPods for this price.

PROS:
  • Noise Cancelation
  • Cheap
CONS:
  • Not convenient
  • Cheap Quality

Self-isolation is a serious test for a person. There are so many distractions at home that it’s amazing how you can end up doing any of your day’s goals. Households ask questions or watch TV series. During conference calls, an 8-bit melody from the son’s toy breaks through the air, not to mention the surprisingly attractive refrigerator and sofa. To cope with the latter is the samurai’s way, but in the matter of sound self-isolation, closed-type headphones, on-ear, or in-ear headphones can help. We will try to work with just such a pair today.

Silicon Power BP82 set is quite standard for TWC-headsets: charging station/case, 3 pairs of silicone ear pads of different diameters, instructions, cable for the charger.

It is recommended to fully charge the base station and the headphones themselves before starting work. It will take 1.5 hours to charge the battery fully, but you can later listen to music for 3.5 hours without recharging. In the talk mode, the manufacturer promises even 4.5 hours of uninterrupted operation. The declared standby mode is up to 150 hours.

The BP82 uses Bluetooth 5.0 to transmit audio with support for HSP, HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, and SPP. The manufacturer promises powerful bass and rich sound with high definition due to a sufficiently high speaker sensitivity – 91 ± 3dB.

When connected, the device is identified by the name – SP-BP82. The first time, the device must be selected from the list, then the headphones are connected automatically.

Let’s put BP82 in real-life conditions and see what happens. More precisely. Let’s listen.

Background work Silicon Power BP82

Many people turn on instrumental music to concentrate their attention; it drowns out the sounds of an elevator, a neighbor’s puncher, or a beloved dog. I have a working playlist, a jumble of different styles, where the 2nd concert of Rachmaninoff is adjacent to the tracks of Oksimiron. I have a quite comfortable HyperX Cloud headset with active noise cancellation and comfortable bowls in the office, but we are in self-isolation, and we will try how the BP82 kids will cope in such a situation.

It turned out to be doing quite well. Even when turned off, ambient sounds are muffled, as if using good earplugs.

With a musical background, a screaming baby is not heard at all (forgive me, son, if you ever read these lines). The drill man from the apartment above also disappears from your reality. I feel comfortable when I still slightly hear the surrounding sounds, but in such a “cotton” mode, and I can choose whether to react to them or not. If you also, I recommend turning on the sound about a third, this will be enough to focus on work, but at the same time, you will continue to control the situation around.

The sound quality of the BP82, like all TWC plugs, is, as expected, better than that of the earbuds. The difference is especially noticeable in the bass.

Conf Calls with Silicon Power BP82

So, as a result of correspondence with the topic “Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Small question,” you have a Skype call, where you will have a short in 40 minutes to present the anti-crisis strategy to colleagues. Of course, most of the problems with sound here will be on Skype’s conscience, and the simplest solution here is to switch to Zoom or another similar service. However, the headset is also responsible for the conference’s quality: your voice must be heard better than the surrounding noise.

So, the TV working in the same room during the call is slightly audible in the background. Household conversations – depending on the distance to the workplace. If you ask your loved ones not to come closer than 1.5-2 meters during a call, then everything is fine.

Convenience: Silicon Power BP82

Most overhead headsets, however comfortable they are, have a serious drawback. After eight hours of working in them, it hurts to touch the auricles, and in the head, instead of thoughts, there is some white noise. Fortunately, Vacuum headphones cannot put pressure on the ears, but, according to my feelings, it is still worth resting on them. It is comfortable for me to work in “Pomodoro” mode for 45 minutes at the computer with headphones – 15 minutes of rest.

Other notes when using: easily and quickly “hook” to the smartphone. They hold the signal with confidence, and they do not need to return to the charging case after each removal from their ears, as is the case with some TWC headsets. In the future, when the quarantine is over, use in the subway will be a pleasant bonus – audiobooks can be heard normally, even in old noisy carriages.

Of the minuses, you can note the touch buttons on the headphones. Sometimes you press them accidentally when you insert them into your ear. However, this is more a matter of habit.
