You don’t have to pay a lot of money for a good gaming headset. They are wired, of course. Good sound and comfortable construction are no longer expensive, and the Hator Hellraizer headphones confirm this thesis. Next, I will tell you more about this model, which deserves attention.
What’s in the box?
The set of delivery of the headset does not spoil much wealth. Still, everything you need is there:
- An adapter cable for separate connectors (output and microphone)
- A removable microphone on a flexible leg
- An extension cable with a length of 1.2 meters
Both cables are made in a fabric braid. They are lightweight, do not get tangled, and do not cling to clothing.
Construction, Design, Convenience
The Hator Hellraizer are large, over-sized headphones designed for home use. There is no hint of portability here, but the Hator has another model for this, which we will discuss separately.
Despite the overall massiveness, the headphones are relatively light – only 300 grams. And on the head, this weight is almost not felt.
The relatively lightweight has been achieved due to the all-plastic construction. Practical and pleasant to the touch. Of course, taking into account the price category, one cannot say about some high quality of plastic – it is ordinary, but the assembly is right, there are no complaints here.
As for usability, the Hator Hellraizer is very comfortable. Due to the weight and the relatively soft filling of the ear cushions and headband, as well as its circumference, the headphones do not squeeze and do not cause uncomfortable sensations, even after several hours of use.
The only thing missing to complete the picture is rotating the ear pads for more comfortable wearing of the headphones around your neck, but this is not a critical drawback.
There are three color versions of the headphones on sale – black, black with silver inserts (as we have on testing), and white.
Hator Hellraizer Sound
In addition to ease of use, sound is the main advantage of headphones. A pair of 50mm speakers with neodymium magnets and a frequency range from 15 Hz to 25 kHz are responsible for good sound.
I liked the sound very much. There is good detail in the treble, sufficient stage width, and powerful bass. Which, in Hator Hellraizer, is a little too much, which is felt in music with a good beat. At least the track Hellraiser by Ozzy Osbourne sounds bright in these headphones, and the bass advantage is well felt here.
But in games, it is only suitable for the sound – the special effects sound powerful and juicy. The overall sound insulation is good. Thanks to the thick ear cups, the headphones cut out a lot of ambient noise well.
Microphone
But the voice transmission pleased, without any “buts.” The voice is transmitted cleanly, without extraneous sounds. By the way, the microphone can be turned off thanks to a simple cord control. It also houses a volume control.
Conclusion: Should you buy Hator Hellraizer?
Hator Hellraizer is a very comfortable headphone with a pleasant sound. And, most importantly, they are inexpensive. Considering the price, the number of compromises that have to be made when choosing this model is not that minimal. There are none as such. Yes, the sound cannot be called entirely universal. Some people may not like the slightly excessive bass. But the overall quality is excellent.
